The boss fights in Royal was made so much easier then they threw in a badly designed boss fight in Okumura where people would actually recommend setting the difficulty to Merciless for an "easier" time.
The closest it's ever "needed" is Madarame's boss fight which can still very much be done by just using 1 More and focusing the real Madarame with Phys skills.
