Austin initially will produce MYP only with 4680. So, ordering a Performance model increases your chances. Living in FL is a bonus. Austin will ship primarily east. It will take Tesla close to 9 months to ramp up Austin to decent capacity. The first couple of hundred production models have rolled out and are en route to delivery centers.

Smaller, lighter wheels may provide lower 0 to 60 time but probably not much more than 0.1 sec better versus the 21" Uberturbine wheels. Performance time would still be around ~3.5 seconds. Many times the stock wheels on the PMY have yielded ~3.6 seconds. The PMY is not a 3.3 or 3.2 second vehicle.

I brought the MYP back to Tesla before the test drive was over because I disliked it so much. If the 3 just came with a hatch it would be perfect, IMO. I laugh a little whenever people say "upgrading from a 3 to a Y" because, to me, the Y is a downgrade, but I guess it really depends on what you want out of the car.

Buy the MYP, get T-Sportline 19" Uberturbine rims with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus tires and sell the stock 21" rims & tires. More range, better drive quality (I honestly didn't feel an enormous difference because of the comfort suspension), and more tire wall without compromising on overall speed.

Once problem I have is the car locks itself when I exit the car although I have checked the option 'exclude home'. I have set up my phone location and when I look on the Tesla app it shows my car is parked at Home.

Or, the other way around? It's know a $5k difference. Ride quality harsher on MYP due to 21" rims. Range is less on MYP, but due to 21" staggered rims. From what I've read, the consensus is that this isn't a big deal. mando rears are lighter than brembo. The cover is in the rear, the front is painted.
