If so you could have a heater core leak (although those leaks very rarely result in the rear carpet getting wet). If it doesn't smell like antifreeze, you could have a body seal defect allowing rain water to get into the car. If your warranty is intact I'd recommend a trip to the dealer. I have had my 04 Sorento since new, and about a year ago it developed a water leak on the front passenger side of the cab. It has been back to the dealer 9 times for this issue.
