A DC to DC inverter seems ok for charging a battery at the rear of the truck since that battery will never charge the same as up front using an isolator due to the long cable lengths and loss to the rear. Slight problem is the DC converter is not 100% efficient and will take more power to charge the battery than the battery gets during charging.

Leave the positive charger clamp on the main battery cable. Charge the aux battery. Of the two negative cables that goes to the negative of the main battery, one goes to the fender body/chassis ground, the other goes to the aux battery negative post. On a 2020 model year, the top of the two ground cables is the one that goes to the aux battery.

Jul 24, 2021 · From what I understand, the main battery and Power Distribution Center (PDC): the intelligent fuse box switch places in the diesel JL as opposed to say the 3.6L JL. I mean it would make sense if the Aux battery stays in the same place on the Eco Diesel model, and just the main battery and PDC switch places.
Update: Jeep has been at the dealer for 10 days. Service initially thought it was 2 dead batteries. I went to pick the Jeep up from the dealer last night and the same issue remained with the screen coming on in the Instrument Cluster.
