Sounds like for TradingView traders are better off using AMP versus Tradovate which integration has hiccups now and then. You can code forms. They have object oriented Easy Language (their proprietary platform language). They have tablet app for trades. They have a web page you can trade. They have a web api (haven't used it or know if its any good). Their forum for asking for help is pretty good, but it logs you out after 20 or 30 minutes which is annoying as hell.

If you use 1 tick data or high fill resolution, you will be closer to reality (it's pretty good)--I would still visually validate there aren't data issues though, as they do happen (you know it when you see it on the chart).

I use tradestation on my windows (on my mac) which works pretty well for my needs. It's good right out of the box, lots of different commodities and currency futures for reasonable margin. $3-4k will be enough for a couple micro/ commodity contacts. I wouldn't recommend ninjatrader. Really outdated and the whole "lifetime license" is nonsense. The lack of support is astonishing. I left Tradovate and couldn’t be happier.
