I ended up going to my OBGYN a few days later, took a blood test, and when she got the results she told me I actually didn't ovulate that month. The CB test didn't work for me.

Perspective: several days of flashing smileys means you're having a decent estrogen surge, which means your body will produce fertile cervical mucus and build up a nice thick, healthy endometrium.
