I'm soon to take delivery on a new Jetta TDI, and have read many things about the EGR mod. I live in a county where all unleaded vehicles have to pass emissions testing. I'm not sure if the TDI has to be emissions tested or not in this state. Well it might be just the way Malone lists it. Typically going "Stage I" with your car was doing software. Stage II was software with exhaust/intake work. Stage III is those and a bigger turbo, etc etc. Glad you like the tune. I have the Stage II, but with the delete. No more regens, and the car sounds so much nicer.

So my 2013 JSW TDI started throwing this code the other week. I can clear it (I used Dash Command) but it of course comes back after a few restarts. Strangely enough I have had the code lit, but NOT come back on a restart but that only happened once or twice. The car has 104,500 miles on it...

I have the RawTek delete pipes and a Malone stage 2 tune. I fabricated the EGR block off plates myself from 1/4” steel. Traced the gasket, cut with plasma, drilled bolt holes, cleaned up with buffer, painted flat black, installed. Total cost $15 including new gaskets and about an hour labour total.
