It has big condo buildings yet feels empty and struggling. Mainly, I guess, the beach is not great so no one visits from elsewhere and most people staying there head out each day. To be fair, the beach might rate a 6 or 7, but St Martin has so many 10 point beaches of different flavors that it suffers by comparison. Pepper, the section of the terminal that has reopened is the lower, ground floor. That was the former "B Gates" area. You always walked out to a bus that took you to your plane where you walked up the moveable steps. The jetways (ramps) were from the "A Gates" area on the second floor.

Feb 29, 2024, 10:44 AM. Coming solo to Saint Maarten next week and looking forward to some nice beach walks. I love walking around and exploring different places. Mostly just stopping and trying new food spots/beach bars. In theory you might be able to get the test done on SBH, then fly to SXM the next day (with EHAS approvals) and to the US the day after (with US approvals,) but the flow needs to be perfect.
