Yep, the new mechanics prevent you from riding a leeched dino. Swamp cave is the hardest "land" cave of the island. Definitely do not underestimate that cave. I clear that cave with my frog too and yeah, at some point I also have to leave, mainly because of anthropleuras. I suggest to go in with a baryonix and set the frog behind you on aggressive.
