the exam is becoming "easier" and now the average student scores a higher score. This won't make any difference what so ever since usmle step 1 is not a 1-100% score and the scoring system is based on a bell type curve. So if a program sees a 235 in 2019 and 230 from 2017, they should have the same judgement on that student, if they are smart.

Uworld is harder than the actual test and if you can master uworld it will make the test seem very doable. I was scoring consistent 70's on my random 40 uworld blocks with a 73% overall average. IMO amboss is a harder q bank than UW so an 80% average on it is very good.
