The performance comes from good quality blanks with sharp tooling, good quality control, so on, so on. The ratchet rifling is marketing. All 3 of the barrels I have are not much better to a factory barrel as far as I'm concerned. All three were equally accurate, and the best groups I could get with each of them for 5 shots at 50 yards measured 1/4". I used a 20x scope for the tests.

It has shot several 5 shot one hole groups and sometimes it puts 5 in the .4s but it is a good shooting rifle for the money I have in it.
