Usually if they are low enough that they won't start on their own it either requires boosting each battery separately with cables from 2 vehicles, or the charger on one and cables on the other. You need to clean the filter head rub it dry. I take the seal off the filter an rub completly with fresh oil an stick oring back on filter inside of the grooves an screw it on. That's the best way I use to only rub the top an screw on but found out this way is a thousand times better. There is a section of stickies for newbies that explains the IDI, so start there first. Depending on mileage, freshen up the injection pump and injectors, and get the engine timed properly. Makes all the difference in the world as far as performance and mileage are concerned. Be sure to do the lift pump as well.
