Acetone won't harm your gelcoat but it may dull the finish slightly. there may be other compounds/soaps that will do the job easier or better. For the price that you paid for the cover, I would ask the manufacturer of the cover what will remove the color from your boat's finish. Oct 19, 2009 · I had it happen to me a number of times until I learned this trick! Now make a 2.5 to 3 foot leader using the 60 lb test with a swivel at one end and a snap swivel at the other. Attach a lure to the snap swivel. Finally attach the swivel on the leader to the center snap swivel on the umbrella. Now take it fishing!

The Penn 309 used to be the standard for bay trolling. Most guys used 30 lb mono in spring / summer - then put on 30lb Monel for late fall / winter. It's a good reel for spring - I'd stick with lighter lures - up to say 10 ozs.
