Ford focus had flat battery - charged via another car ignition now turns on but wont start ... its a start stop engine and just says key not detected have tried placing key in central console where the back up key slot is located still nothing have also tried spare key in case its the fob battery .

You are quite right that power would not be lost in 13-14 days. Foci 2014se not push button. About 25% of the time after I get gas I will insert my key turn it and nothing happens. I'll try it a few times not sure what "fixes" it but I'll try like turning off all the lights or taking the key out and re insert or opening and closing the door again. Ect. After about 5 tries it'll start like normal.
