The tether is now set at 5 or 9, but somehow we can still separate and glide all over the map without triggering this minimal tether, so long as we don't change zones. It is almost as though the tether setting is no longer real. Change it to 99, unless you go into a cave or smth it shouldn't pull you. Yes, it's called spaguetti code, it has nothing to do with tether distance. Very little of the game data is code. The file sizes are because modern games have a lot of texture data. Audio, 3D model data, and so forth also take up substantially more room than code, but the majority of the file size is imagery.1. Yes it exists. 2. You can extend it but never remove it. 3. If you can set it up as a dedicated server then there will be no tether. You of course will need to host that somewhere, on a spare machine etc.. I think you would need a separate steam ...

Does anyone know how to fix the tether issue to have a greater distance than 160m I have tried moving the slider in the settings but doesn't seem to do anything. You can try making a dedicated server, you would just need a spare PC with about 10 GB of ram. Or you can join low populated servers
