Slowly my gear shift would stick in park or get stuck in reverse, happened one or two times and then yesterday I get in my car and start it up and my gear shift was stuck in park and the manual override would not even make it budge. Explained that I am receiving an intermittent "service shifter" error message and when that happens I cant get the shifter out of park. The shifter is locked in Park unless you are stepping on the brake pedal.
