It doesn't sound like Oanda is the problem. You can't call yourself a trader if you don't trade. The inactivity fee is clearly stated in their terms several times. I use Oanda everyday, and get amazing results, I would even say they're one of the top brokers in the world. I get anywhere from 5-12% ROI daily using Oanda.
Oanda's platform is java based or something and a waste of time. However both brokers let you use MT4 also, and you'll probably want to jump around to lots of different brokers if you get serious and so it's a good idea to learn metatrader4 early since pretty much everyone offers it.
