I returned my Rockwell T2 for 6S and couldn’t have been happier. For starters, Rockwell T2, although adjustable for that perfect shave, felt too cheap yet bulky. I didn’t feel like I’m holding a 150$ razor in my hands. And after few shaves, I set the adjuster on 5 and called it a day. Never touched it afterwards.

I can not shave everyday though. I always do a 3 pass shave (WTG, XTG, ATG). There is no way I can get BBS without following this. A one pass shave would produce unacceptable results to me. The whole idea is to do beard reduction on each pass, not try to get rid of all the hair at once.

It’s made from zamak. Between $50 & $60. For the same price you could get a vintage Gillette Slim. Made from nickel plated brass. it’s one of the best safety razors ever made is adjustable from mild to aggressive. Even though they are about 60 years old now they will outlast you, your kids and grandchildren.

Maggard Safety Razors are cheap and highly recommended for beginners. I strongly recommend this starter kit. The Parker 26C is exceptionally comfortable (disinclined to nick) and efficient, and at $29 is not out of sight. The Maggard razors will also work, as will the Edwin Jagger line, but the 26C, IMO, is better than either. While you’re at it what’s your dream set up, including soap. Best of the best is a wholly subjective term. You can spend $400+ on a razor and it may fall short of shaving expectations.
