It is the most family friendly place on Croatian coast. It has everything you could wish for, especially for kids, including the only amuzement park, plus a brand new Aquapark. Hard to give specific recommendations based on liking history alone as there are lots of options, Split is probably the easiest base as it is the hub for the southern Islands. Croatia is not cheap to eat out any more but the all inclusive resorts do not make for very good bases. 2. Re: Best place to set up base.

Vis and Korcula are on the itinerary, but only for part of a day to visit the Blue Cave, subject to weather/availability, in Vis and to see the Old Town in Korcula.
