It's always worked great, though the round count is only around or a little under 1k and it's all been ball ammo. I have a couple of factory .38 Super mags and some Metalforms that I found locally.
The Aegis II utilizes a full-length guide rod and 14 lb. recoil spring. Its match grade trigger is designed to trip between 4-5 lbs. A readily apparent deviation between the Aegis II and other 1911 pistols is a spurless hammer. The thumb safety and magazine release button are also given the bobbed treatment.The Eclipse models are some of the best looking 1911's I've seen from an aesthetic standpoint. I only own one Pro Kimber gun. Although I like it, I prefer the Custom Eclipse for SD & HD or the Ultra Eclipse for CCW. Dec 8, 2016 · Mark you are correct, all Ultra’s are 3 inch barrels, and all Pro models are 4 inch barrels, no Kimber 4.25 inch Commander styles are offered. Love my Ultra CDP, and owned a bobbed grip Pro Carry that addressed the grip issue somewhat. Methinks the OP had a typo, or was unencumbered by the truth.
A Kimber is kinda like a box of cracker jacks, you never quite know what you are going to get when you open the box. I have a Kimber Pro TLE II that I had quite a bit of problems with out of the box. It eventually broke in nicely, and it continues to be my EDC. But the next 1911 will not be a Kimber.
