This workaround of changing the Eco temperature will work, but it's certainly not intuitive. I wasted a lot of time searching for how to HOLD the Nest Learning thermostat, and also went through several iterations of thinking I'd overridden the temperature, only to have the Nest revert to the schedule and make my guests cold.
