In PVE it can be fun, however on the authority tree (at least before the last update) the demon that is summoned always gets attacked by your thrall so it's detrimental more than anything imo, though corrupting all three attributes is the best way to do it since your corruption is capped at 50% and one full corrupted attribute brings you to that.
