Blinking orange light on dell computer.
I have this pc dell 9020 small form factor, At everytime I try to turn on, there is amber light blinking 2-1, then I remove the power plug and hold the power button for 15-20 sec , then I connect it again and it worked. Next time when I tried to turn on the computer I followed the steps all over again everytime.
The problem starts as soon as I turn on the computer. My indicator on the computer does not light up solid white, but flashes once, followed by 3 orange flashing lights. After this there is a short break in between and it flashes again 1 time white, then 3 times orange. This process repeats. The front of the PC doesnt light up as it should either. The pc was all lit up then it did a auto update and the front face lights went out and I got this blinking alien head. My Dell XPS 710 sometimes get blinking amber power light and refuses to turn back on. My temporary fix is to unplug the power cord that goes into the PSU and wait for 15 minutes, perhaps discharging the capacitors within PSU. Then computer would be able to turn back on again. Already ordered a replacement PSU and will see if it fixes the problem.
