38 weeks pregnant and 2 cm dilated.

As the title says, I'm 38 weeks today, and measured at 1cm dilated 50% effaced. 1 week ago, I measured at 1cm dilated 0% effaced. I have been having lots of mild cramping and white discharge, with Braxton Hicks starting to ramp up the last couple of days. Side note, I had an ultrasound last week and baby was estimated at 7 lbs 8 oz.I was 2cm dilated at 36 weeks. At 38 weeks still 2cm dilated but also 80%effaced. I gave birth at 38+4 (today) after my water broke last night. How exciting! Congratulations! I hope your L&D went smoothly. I would love to progress that quickly and give birth this week! Dilation has progressed from last week. I chose to do cervical checks I know it doesn’t necessary indicate when birth is coming but I like to know. Last week at 36 weeks I was 1.5 cm 0% effaced and today at 37 weeks I’m 3 cm and 60% effaced so I do feel that is some progress.
