Miami is better for business and offers engineering that is on par with Ohio, and OU has stellar journalism. Kenyon College is my dream school, but I also love Whitman College. I would be one happy camper at either of these institutions. Kenyon is better known, generally, back east than Grinnell is – a generalization, but east coast folks will go to Ohio but Iowa is a tougher sell (I am from east coast originally and moved to midwest about 15 years ago). Both student bodies seem pretty similar – a little quirky but lots of regular, smart, interesting kids.Macalester students lean far left, while Kenyon is closer to the middle. St. Paul versus Gambier is a very important distinction.
