Press the tv power button and the tivo button down together, wait for the remote to start flashing red, press thumbs down button 3 times, then press enter. Done. If the amber LED on the Bolt is flashing with the a key press, it means the remote is working, but the Bolt is ignoring (or not understanding) the command.
