Dec 16, 2013 · Symptoms: 1. Power tilt/trim does not operate. When activating up or down from both the remote or switch on the engine, the PTT motor does not activate. However, the PTT relay does click. 2. Starter motor does not operate. When trying to crank the starter does not engage, but starter motor relay does click. 3.

Hook it to the negative post on the battery and turn on the key- your small wire to the solenoid should have power- touch the tip of the test light to the terminal and it should light up.

When I put the key in and turn it to the on position I get a check battery light and also a beeping sound. The rpm jumps to 30 and then back to o. There is no power to the tilt and trim either. If you turn the key and nothing turns on and the batt voltage stays the same, you probably have an open circuit caused by a missing connection. Check your ignition switch. What you have your leads to in the last pic is your starter relay and you are testing two positive termainals, hence 0V.
