After replacing it I hooked a test light to the ground and tested the hot wire (blue wire),which had a light which proved power was getting to it. Then when I hit the 4wd button the light went out which showed the hot wire was no longer getting power. Same as when sliding it into diff lock. Then once the 4wd button is disengaged, power returns.

I have adjusted the carb about a million times and it still won't run right. It floods out easily and won't idle for more than a minute without the choke. Any suggestions would really help. The 2nd gen King Quads are much different than the first gen, and the rear brake of the 2005+ King Quad is in the oil compartment of the rear gearcase. You must use wet brake compatible oil in that case or bad things will happen. TDH, tractor fluid, Kawasaki wet brake oil, about 650-700 CC is what it takes. Like.

The correct fix is to replace each axle. I had mine done several years ago. Believe it cost me around $600CAD for two new rear axles.
