It’s inconsistent whether it unlocks all doors, or just the driver’s door. The car is set to ‘unlock driver’s door only’, and more often than not, it unlocks all doors. And since the OP in this thread has a 2022, MY doesn’t seem to enter into it. 2022 Outback Premium, 2024 Crosstrek Ltd, 1996 BMW Z3 Roadster.

Subaru is the only car I have owned that disabled even the driver's control of the windows with the lock on.Sitting in dealer now getting advice during normal service visit. Used the passenger side child lock on 2016 outback one time, it never "unlocked" or "disengaged" afterwards. Unable to open door normally from inside. No issues with elec. lock or other functions. Ok try a capacitive discharge, make sure the key is off and disconnect both battery cables, then touch both cables together for about 10 seconds.
